The Madison Square Garden (MSG) is one of the most famous halls in the world. MSG has its own television channel and a private market slogan (The World Most Famous Arena (TM)).

MSG can be found in New York. The Hall, which can accommodate a small 20,000 spectators, is used for various sporting events, including boxingbasketball (home of theNew York Knicks and New York Liberty) and ice hockey (home of the New York Rangers). The MSG is also known as a stage for music concerts. Celebrities like Armin van BuurenQueenChristina AguileraLady GagaEric ClaptonElvis PresleyMichael JacksonNeil DiamondNeil YoungElton JohnMadonnaPaul McCartneySting,Mariah CareyBruce SpringsteenJustin BieberOne Direction and many others have performed here. In 2004 was MSG the location where the Republicans under the leadership of George w. Bush held their party Convention.

The current MSG is the fourth "Garden" with this name. The first was built in 1879 to the Madison Square and was used as a circus tent . Later, in 1890, this Hall was demolished, after which a new MSG was built at the same location. In 1925 became the third MSG opened at the intersection of 50th Street and 8th Avenue. The current MSG was opened in 1969 and is found above the Pennsylvania Station at the crossroads of the 33rd Street and 7th Avenue.

The MSG, which is also a Congress Centre, cinema and theatre, is also available for rent for private parties. The wrestling league WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) hires the MSG off regularly for important events.WrestleMania I, X and XX are held there, just like different SummerSlam and Survivor Series PPVs.

The part at the Madison track cycling has the name "Madison" due to this stadium, because here the very first contest in this component is set during the six days of New York.
